My Comment: For the past two weeks the Syrian government (and their allies) have claimed that it was the rebels who were responsible for the gas attack that killed 1,500 Syrians .... a claim that many had doubts were true (a position that I also voiced in this blog). But when AP reporter Dale Gavlak in collaboration with on the ground reporter Yahya Ababneh started to raise questions on the White House's account on what happened .... that raised my interest. And while I am still giving the administration the benefit of the doubt on Syria .... reports that are contradicting the official White House/French/British/German/and Israeli claims (see here, here, and here) on what happened is disturbing .... if we are going to war because of faulty intelligence it would be a disaster on the same level as weapons of mass destruction in Iraq .... a prospect that I am sure that no one wants to repeat.
On a side note .... it is claimed that the above video shows Syrian rebels handling chemical weapons. What's my take .... I could be wrong but those howitzers have range limitations and are probably not suitable for launching a chemical attack.
Update: Here is an interesting read (and one that I hope is completely wrong) .... Did the White House Help Plan the Syrian Chemical Attack? -- Yossef Bodansky, Global Research
