Egypt's Interim President: We Are Rethinking Who Our 'Real Friends' Are

Egypt Rethinking Who Its 'Real Friends' Are, Interim President Adly Mansour Says -- Jethro Mullen and Mohammed Tawfeeq, CNN

(CNN) -- Egypt is reconsidering its ties with countries that haven't been supportive of the government that the military installed after ousting the country's first democratically elected president, the interim president said.

Speaking in his first televised interview since Egypt's powerful generals put him in office, Adly Mansour singled out Turkey and Qatar for criticism. Both those regional neighbors have condemned a crackdown last month by Egyptian authorities on supporters of the ousted president Mohamed Morsy that left hundreds of people dead.

"Our patience is running out regarding the Qatari stance," Mansour, 67, said in the interview aired by state television Tuesday.

"The Turkish reaction has reflected short-sightedness and personal interest, not realizing the amount of cooperation between the two countries," Mansour said, according to an account of the interview published by state-run media outlet Al-Ahram.

Hamas calls on Egypt interim govt to reopen Rafah

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has called on the Egyptian interim government to reopen the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip.

Hamas deputy foreign minister, Ghazi Hamed, said on Friday that some 1,200 people were using the crossing each day while the former Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi was in power but after he was removed by the military on 3 July the number fell to about 50 a day.

Egyptian officials closed the border crossing on August 19 after at least 25 policemen were killed in an ambush near the border by suspected militants.

He told state-run BBC that thousands of Palestinians, including students and medical patients, wanting to leave or enter Gaza have been stuck due to the closure of the key border crossing.

Rafah terminal is Gaza's sole gateway to the outside world bypassing Israel.

Many people in the blockaded coastal enclave avoid traveling through the Israeli controlled Erez crossing in northern Gaza.

Many of those stranded in Gaza stand to lose their jobs or their chances to obtain education in foreign countries because they overstayed in Gaza.

After Morsi's ouster the Egyptian military tightened the restriction in Rafah and created hardships for Gazans.

Observers say that the military -controlled government in Egypt has only more trouble in store for the 1.7 million people living in Gaza.

People here say that the closure of the Rafah crossing has increased their suffering and will leave them at the mercy of the Israeli-controlled crossing

Egypt’s Morsi accused of complicity in protest deaths

Egyptian women from the Muslim Brotherhood shout slogans and hold portraits of ousted president, Mohamed Morsi, as they gather in Cairo to attend a march in his support on August 11, 2013

Source: Press TV

Ousted Egyptian president, Mohamed Morsi, has been accused of complicity in the deaths and torture of demonstrators outside his presidential palace in 2012, judicial sources say.

On Monday, Egypt’s prosecution extended Morsi’s detention for another 15 days which starts from next week. He already stands accused of crimes related to his 2011 escape from jail.

In December 2012, violent clashes erupted between Morsi’s supporters and opponents in the capital, Cairo, after he issued a controversial constitutional declaration in November of the same year to expand his powers.

On December 5, five people were killed in the clashes between backers and opponents of Morsi in the capital.

Earlier in July, a court in the Arab country ordered Morsi's detention over allegations of collaboration with Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, “to undertake aggressive acts in the country, as well as attacking police facilities, officers and soldiers.”

On August 12, the Egyptian Judiciary extended the Morsi’s detention pending an inquiry into his alleged links with Hamas.

Morsi was due to be questioned on whether he collaborated with Hamas in attacks on police stations and prison breaks in early 2011, when he and some members of the Muslim Brotherhood escaped from jail during a revolution against the regime of former dictator, Hosni Mubarak.

Hamas reacted to the allegations on July 26 and condemned Morsi’s detention, saying “it is based on the premise that the Hamas movement is hostile.”

The movement’s spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri, noted, “This is a dangerous development, which confirms that the current powers in Egypt are giving up on national causes and even using these issues to deal with other parties - first among them the Palestinian cause.”

Egypt plunged into chaos after the head of the country’s armed forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, ousted Morsi on July 3, suspended the constitution and dissolved the parliament.

Egypt court orders Mubarak release

Source: Press TV
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/08/19/319478/egypt-court-orders-mubarak-release/

A court in Egypt has ordered former dictator, Hosni Mubarak, be released in one of the remaining corruption cases against him.

According to Egyptian Judiciary officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, a court on Monday ordered Mubarak’s release in a corruption case in which Mubarak and his two sons, Alaa and Gamal, are accused of embezzled funds to renovate presidential palaces.

The officials added that Mubarak could be freed this week, but the court has decided to keep his two sons in custody.

The former dictator has been ordered released in two other cases against him which are the killing of protesters during the 2011 revolution that ousted him, and illegal earnings.

Mubarak is being retried for the demonstrators’ killing. However, he cannot be kept in custody anymore due to a two-year limit pending a final verdict.

He is also facing trial on allegations of accepting gifts from state newspapers but has already repaid their value.

The former long time ruler was sentenced to life in prison in June 2012, but an appeals court later overturned the sentence and ordered a retrial.

Many revolutionaries in Egypt believe the former US-allied strongman should be sentenced to death over his leading role in killing demonstrators.

Bloodbath that is not a bloodbath - Why Egypt is doomed

http://rt.com/op-edge/egypt-protests-terror-muslim-brotherhood-526/

Egypt's ‘bloodbath that is not a bloodbath’ has shown that the forces of hardcore suppression and corruption reign supreme, while foreign interests - the House of Saud, Israel and the Pentagon - support the military's merciless strategy.

Stop. Look at the photos. Linger on dozens of bodies lined up in a makeshift morgue. How can the appalling bloodbath in Egypt be justified? Take your pick. Either it’s Egypt’s remix of Tiananmen Square, or it’s the bloodbath that is not a bloodbath, conducted by the leaders of the coup that is not a coup, with the aim of fighting “terror”.

It certainly was not a crowd clearing operation – as in the New York Police Department ‘clearing’Occupy Wall Street. As a Sky journalist tweeted, it was more like “a major military assault largely on unarmed civilians”, using everything from bulldozers to tear gas to snipers.

Thus the scores indiscriminately killed – with crossfire estimates ranging from the low hundreds (the “interim government”) to at least 4,500 (the Muslim Brotherhood), including at least four journalists and the 17-year-old Asmaa, daughter of top Muslim Brotherhood politician Mohamed El Beltagy.

El Beltagy, before being arrested, said, crucially, “If you do not take to the streets, he [as in General Abdul-Fattah al-Sisi, the leader of the coup that is not a coup who appointed the interim government] will make the country like Syria.”

Wrong. Sisi is not Bashar al-Assad. Don’t expect passionate Western calls for “targeted strikes” or a no-fly zone over Egypt. He may be a military dictator killing his own people. But he’s one of “our” bastards.

What we say goes

Let’s look at the reactions. The lethargic poodles of the European Union called for “restraint”and described it all as “extremely worrying.” A White House statement said the interim government should “respect human rights” – which can be arguably interpreted as the Manning/Snowden/droning of Pakistan and Yemen school of human rights.

That pathetic excuse for a diplomat, NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, at least was blunt: “Egypt is an important partner for NATO through the Mediterranean Dialogue.” Translation: the only thing we really care about is that those Arabs do as we say.

A man grieves as he looks at one of many bodies laid out in a make shift morgue after Egyptian security forces stormed two huge protest camps at the Rabaa al-Adawiya and Al-Nahda squares where supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi were camped, in Cairo, on August 14, 2013 (AFP Photo / Mosaab El-Shamy)

Stripped of all rhetoric – indignant or otherwise – the key point is that Washington won’t cut its $1.3 billion annual aid to Sisi’s army no matter what. Wily Sisi has declared a “war on terror”. The Pentagon is behind it. And the Obama administration is tagging along – reluctantly or not.

Now let’s see who’s in revolt. Predictably, Qatar condemned it; after all Qatar was bankrolling the Morsi presidency. The Islamic Action Front, the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, encouraged Egyptians to keep protesting to “thwart the conspiracy” by the former regime – as in Mubarakists without Mubarak.

Turkey – which also supports the Muslim Brotherhood - urged the UN Security Council and the Arab League to act quickly to stop a “massacre”; as if the UN and the Saudi-controlled Arab League would interrupt their three-hour-long expense account lunches to do anything.

Iran – correctly - warned of the risk of civil war. That does not mean that Tehran is blindly supporting the Muslim Brotherhood – especially after Morsi had incited Egyptians to join a jihad against Assad in Syria. What Tehran has noted is that the civil war is already on.

Let’s aim for the kill

“Byzantine” does not even begin to explain the blame game. The bloodbath that is not a bloodbath happened as the Sisi-appointed “government” had promised it would engage in a military-supported “transition”that would be politically all-inclusive.

Yet, fed up with six weeks of protests denouncing the “coup that is not a coup,” the interim government changed the narrative and decided to take no prisoners.

According to the best informed Egyptian media analyses, Deputy Prime Minister Ziad Baha Eldin and Vice President for foreign affairs Mohamed ElBaradei wanted to go soft against the protesters, while Interior Minister Gen. Mohammad Ibrahim Mustafa and the Defense Minister - Sisi himself - wanted to go medieval.

The first step was to pre-emptively blame the Muslim Brotherhood for the bloodshed – just as the Muslim Brotherhood blamed Jemaah Islamiyah for deploying Kalashnikovs and burning churches and police stations.

A key reason to launch the “bloodbath that is not a bloodbath” this Wednesday was an attempt by the Muslim Brotherhood to march on the perennially dreaded Interior Ministry. Hardcore Ibrahim Mustafa would have none of it.

Sisi’s minions appointed 25 provincial governors, of which 19 are generals, in perfect timing to “reward” the top military echelon and thus solidify the Egyptian “deep state”, or actually police state. And to crown the “bloodbath that is not a bloodbath,” Sisi’s minions declared martial law for a month. Under these circumstances, the resignation of Western darling ElBaradei won’t make Sisi lose any sleep.

The original spirit of Tahrir Square is now dead and buried , as a Yemeni miraculously not targeted by Obama’s drones, Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkul Karman, pointed out.

The key question is who profits from a hyper-polarized Egypt, with a civil war pitting the well-organized, fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood against the military-controlled “deep state”.

Both options are equally repulsive (not to mention incompetent). Yet the local winners are easily identifiable: the counter-revolution, as in the fulool – diehard Mubarakists – a bunch of corrupt oligarchs, and most of all the deep state itself.

Hardcore repression rules. Corruption rules. And foreign domination rules (as in Saudi Arabia, who’s now paying most of the bills, alongside the UAE).

Internationally, the big winners are Saudi Arabia (displacing Qatar), Israel (because the Egyptian army is even more docile than the Brotherhood), and – who else – the Pentagon, the Egyptian army’s pimp. Nowhere in the Milky Way this House of Saud/Israel/Pentagon axis can be spun as “good for the Egyptian people”.

Sheikh Al-Torture is our man

A quick recap is in order. In 2011, the Obama administration never said, “Mubarak must go”until the last minute. Hilary Clinton wanted a “transition” led by CIA asset and spy chief Omar Suleiman – widely known in Tahrir Square as “Sheikh al-Torture”.

Reporters run for cover during clashes between Muslim Brotherhood supporters of Egypt's ousted president Mohamed Morsi, and police in Cairo on August 14, 2013 (AFP Photo / Mosaab El-Shamy)

Then a Washington inside joke was that the Obama administration had gleefully become a Muslim Brotherhood cheerleader (allied with Qatar). Now, like a yo-yo, the Obama administration is weighing on how to spin the new narrative - the ‘loyal’Egyptian army courageously wiping out the “terrorist” Muslim Brotherhood to “protect the revolution.”

There was never any revolution to begin with; the head of the snake (Mubarak) was gone, but the snake remained alive and kicking. Now it’s met the new snake, same as the old snake. Additionally, it’s so easy to sell to the uninformed galleries the Muslim Brotherhood = al-Qaeda equation.

Pentagon supremo Chuck Hagel was glued on the phone with Sisi as the July 3 “coup that is not a coup” was taking place. Pentagon spin would want us to believe that Sisi promised Hagel he would be on top of things in a heartbeat. Virtually 100% of the Beltway agreed. Thus the official Washington spin of “coup that is not a coup.”Tim Kaine from Virginia, at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, even extolled those model democracies, the UAE and Jordan, in their enthusiasmfor the “coup that is not a coup.”

It’s essential to outline the five countries that have explicitly endorsed the “coup that is not a coup.” Four of them are GCC petro-monarchies (members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, also known as Gulf Counter-Revolution Club); Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain. And the fifth is that little monarchy, Jordan, the GCC wants to annex to the Gulf.

Even more pathetic than Egypt’s so-called liberals, some leftists, some Nasserists and assorted progressives defending Sisi’s bloodlust has been the volte-face of Mahmoud Badr, the founder of Tamarrod – the movement that spearheaded the massive demonstrations that led to Morsi’s ouster. In 2012, he blasted Saudi Arabia. After the coup, he prostrated himself in their honor. At least he knows who’s paying the bills.

And then there’s Ahmed al-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar, the Vatican of Sunni Islam. He said, “Al-Azhar…did not know about the methods used for the dispersal of the protests except through media channels.” Nonsense; he has repeatedly praised Sisi

Feel free to adore my eyelashes

There’s no other way of saying it; from Washington’s point of view, Arabs can kill each other to Kingdom Come, be it Sunnis against Shiites, jihadis against secularists, peasants against urbanites, and Egyptians against Egyptians. The only thing that matters is the Camp David agreements; and nobody is allowed to antagonize Israel.

So it’s fitting that Sisi’s minions in boots asked Israel to keep their drones near the border, as they need to pursue their “war on terror” in the Sinai. For all practical purposes, Israel runs the Sinai.

But then there’s the cancellation of a delivery of F-16s to Sisi’s army. In real life, every US weapons sale across the Middle East has to be “cleared” with Israel. So a case can be made that Israel – for the moment - is not exactly sure what Sisi is really up to.

It’s quite instructive to read what Sisi thinks of “democracy” – as demonstrated when he was at the US War College. He’s essentially an Islamist – but most of all he craves power. And the MB is standing in his way. So they have to be disposed of.

Sisi’s “war on terror” is arguably a roaring success as a PR stunt to legitimize his run for a popular mandate. He’s trying to pose as the new Nasser. He’s Sisi the Savior, surrounded by a bunch of Sisi groupies. A columnist wrote in Al-Masry Al-Youm that Sisi doesn't even need to issue an order; it’s enough to “just flutter his eyelashes”. The Sisi-for-president campaign is already on.

Anyone familiar with US-propped 1970s tin-pot Latin American dictators is able to spot one. This is no Savior. This is no more than an Al-Sisi-nator – the vainglorious tin-pot ruler of what my colleague Spengler bluntly defined as a banana republic without the bananas.

US pick as ambassador to Egypt ran Iraq "Death Squads"

Robert S. Ford

Source: Press TV
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/08/10/318096/us-pick-for-egytp-ran-iraq-death-squads/

Egyptians are furious over reports about the designation of the US former ambassador to Syria Robert S. Ford as the next American envoy as he allegedly ran “death squads” in Iraq.

Global Research, a Canadian website has claimed that Ford ran “death squads” in Iraq when he was political counsellor at the embassy there from 2004-2006. The story has gone on Twitter and been reported by Egyptian media, irritating Egyptian authorities and people about the move to appoint Ford to the job.

Hashtags such as #NoToRobertFord in English and in Arabic, “We refuse the American ambassador to Egypt,” appeared on the microblogging site after media reports said Ford has been considered by the White House as the next US envoy in Egypt.

“The new sponsor of terrorism in Egypt,” tweeted one user, referring to the US career diplomat. Another warned, “Watch out Ford, if you come to Cairo... You won't be an ambassador... You will b a target”.

Ford was appointed US Ambassador to Syria in late January 2011, more than a month before the crisis started in the Arab country.

Wayne Madsen, an American investigative journalist said in September 2011 that Ford “has been responsible for recruiting Arab "death squads" from al-Qaeda-affiliated units in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, and Chechnya to fight against Syrian military and police forces in embattled Syria.”

With growing anti-American sentiments in Egypt, the US would face huge obstacles in rebuilding its lost reputation, an analyst says.

“It is a very difficult task,” Mohamed Elmenshawy, director at the Middle East Institute in Washington, told FoxNews.com. “Given the level of anti-American sentiment from all Egyptian political players, Ford has serious challenges ahead of him. It will take serious initiatives by the U.S. to recover its reputation in Egypt in order to make the mission of the new ambassador easier.

Morsi reinstatement only way to end crisis: Muslim Brotherhood

Source: Press TV - Click on link for Video Report
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/08/05/317361/bring-back-morsi-to-end-crisis-mb/

Muslim Brotherhood says the only solution to the crisis in Egypt is full restoration of constitutional legitimacy, rejecting calls from Western and Arab envoys to accept that Mohamed Morsi will not return as president.

Brotherhood’s spokesman, Gehad al-Haddad, said on Monday that only Morsi can “solve the mess” in the North African country, adding that the only solution to the crisis was “full restoration of constitutional legitimacy and reversal of the coup.”

His remarks came in reaction to US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns’s meeting with Muslim Brotherhood official Khairat el-Shater in prison on the same day.

Official MENA news agency reported that Burns along with senior diplomats of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates visited Shater at Cairo's high security prison in Tora.

Shater was arrested on charges of inciting violence nearly a month ago. He is due to stand trial on August 25 together with senior Brotherhood leader, Rashad Bayoumi, and Brotherhood supreme leader, Mohamed Badie.

Earlier on Monday, European Union envoy Bernardino Leon also met with Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawi.

According to Haddad, Shater cut the meeting with Burns short and urged him to talk to the ousted president instead.

The meeting was part of Western and Arab efforts to end the Egyptian crisis.

Senior US senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham are also in Egypt to hold talks with the country’s officials with regard to the crisis.

Meanwhile, supporters of Morsi remain camped out in two major cross-roads in Cairo, demanding his return to power.

The National Defense Council has warned protesters against the continuation of the sit-ins.

Tension has intensified in Egypt since July 3 when the head of the Egyptian armed forces, General Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi removed Morsi from office. Sisi also suspended the constitution and dissolved the parliament.

Scores of Egyptians, most of them supporters of Morsi, have been killed or injured in the violence ever since his ouster.

Egypt’s Military have Sold Out the Egyptian People to the Imperial Powers & Israel

By: Stewart Brennan
World United News
http://worldunitednews.blogspot.com/

It appears that the Egyptian Military has sold out the Egyptian people to the Imperial Powers and are proving that they are a willing part of the larger US / UK plan to remove all regional opposition to Israel.

In a nut shell, the People of Egypt want the siege of Gaza lifted and the Rafah border crossing opened; So how the Egyptian Military or Interim Government of Egypt treat the Palestinians of Gaza is a litmus test to prove who they really work for...and right now they have failed with a capital "F" because the Egyptian Military have been tightening the Israeli siege on Gaza since they took Morsi out of office.

Here's a look at what has happened in the region since the Popular Coup against Morsi took place.

1. The Egyptian Army closes the Rafah Border and cuts all human life lines to Gaza.

5. The Egyptian Army have declared war on the people of the Sinai

The Egyptian Military are in the process of ramping up unrest in the Sinai region while locking down their border with Gaza. This is a tactic that has been employed by the USA, UK, Israel & the Saudi regimes throughout the entire Middle East, Eurasia, and Africa.

8. Prison Escapes in Libya, and Iraq planned by US Backed Terrorists will Bolster the decimated Saudi sponsored attack on Syria and in Egypt's Sinai

The Prison breaks in Libya, and Iraq seem to coincide with the need to bolster the terrorist ranks that are wrecking havoc throughout Syria, Iraq, and now Egypt. In all probability, some of these terrorists will now show up in the Sinai to give legitimacy to the Egyptian Military’s lock down and siege of the Sinai and Gaza. No doubt the terrorists will be magically armed because the terrorist groups and the people in charge of the said countries of Iraq, and Libya are controlled by the USA through the CIA, hired Mercenary Groups and other US Government agencies and proxies.

The US, UK, agenda is to smash all opposition to the State of Israel while enabling the Israeli destruction and ethnic cleansing of Palestine. For Egypt, this means destruction through planned divisions of the Egyptian people and for the region it means the destruction of all links between Iran, Syria, and Lebanon with Palestine.

Morsi Also a US Government Puppet

It has been well proven that Israel, and Saudi Arabia are active in the destruction of Syria while using the weapons supplied by all associated NATO countries including Turkey.

But in a surprise outburst of insanity in mid June 2013, Egyptian President Morsi declared war on Syria seemingly out of the blue, which begs the question “Why?” Why did Morsi support the overthrow of Bashar Al-Assad in Syria? The only conclusion one can draw is that Morsi was taking orders from the USA, which also means he was siding with Israel & Saudi Arabia who were also actively involved in the destruction of Syria.

Morsi Silenced

Since Morsi was removed in a Military Coup soon after no one has heard from him and there is a reason why you do not hear anything from Egypt’s former president. If Morsi was allowed to speak he would tell the World exactly what he said to the American government to have them stop the Israeli attack on Gaza in Nov 2012.

US threatened, pulls Israel out of Gaza: Richard Becker

Source Video: Press TV
http://youtu.be/DiuY6eMYUq4

What deal did Morsi broker with the US Government behind closed doors to have them halt the Israeli attack on Gaza? Could it have had anything to do with the Suez Canal? Because the Suez Canal is the single most Important and strategic area in the World to the Imperial Powers and to the Saudi's. Unfortunately, we will probably never know, but it certainly would explain the reason why the Saudi’s no longer liked Morsi or why the USA stopped the Israeli attack on the people of Gaza.

Indeed, what deal did Morsi strike with the Imperial powers to boldly side against Syria and to side with Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UK, and the USA? In all appearances, Morsi sold his soul and paid the price in a double deception...and now the Egyptian Military which is also under the US influence has Morsi in custody after taking him out in a Coup.

Everyone deserves a fair trial...but of course the USA, does not uphold justice as we see in the case of Bradley Manning after he exposed the US Military for War Crimes. I believe Morsi will receive a fate much worse since they will want him silenced on what transpired during Israel’s war on Gaza. Egypt's Military has imprisoned Morsi so it is doubtful that there will be justice served considering that they take their orders from the US Government. The trial alone has the potential to tear Egypt apart through sectarian lines.

Morsi’s ouster was a tactical move on the part of the Western Imperial Powers. They removed Morsi from power, and at the same time, crushed the Egyptian peoples revolution through the sectarian division that rose with Morsi's ouster.

The Imperial powers have played their cards but they have been exposed by their actions and are very vulnerable should a sudden shift in position by the Egyptian people occur. If anything, the people, weather they are for or against Morsi are united in their hatred of the US and Israeli governments. If the people of Egypt take the road of reconciliation and move forward together to make real change, the Imperial Powers will lose and the people of Egypt will win.

Who Benefits from a Divided Egypt and Sectarian War throughout the Middle East?

In every single case, Israel and the Imperial Powers benefit, which tells you who and where the Egyptian governments and military commanders get their orders from.

The Egyptian people must unite if they do not want the Zionist Imperial forces to divide the peoples revolution. The Egyptian Military by its subservience to Washington is sending Egypt down the road of division, sectarian violence and chaos so that Israel can continue to destroy its neighbours in Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. The Egyptian people must rise up together and demand the end to the violence in Egypt and also very importantly, they must push to end of the siege on Gaza...as goes Gaza goes Egypt and the rest of the World.

At least 150 people killed in Egypt clashes

Final Thoughts:

The State of Israel and Saudi Arabia were created by the Imperial Powers to destroy any attempts by the Arabic people from uniting and becoming a power as they once were under the Ottoman Empire. The major reason is because a large portion of the Worlds oil and gas supply is under Arabic lands, and because Oil powers the Imperial Empires, they will do everything in their power to control it and thus will stop the people of the Arabic speaking nations from uniting or rule themselves.

Israel is their wedge in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia is their hammer. That is why Israel was created in 1948 and why there is a push by the Imperial powers to create sectarian war throughout the Middle East, Eurasia and Africa via Saudi Arabia. Egypt is now the latest victim in this evil plot.

Egypt is Palestine's Protector

Egypt must free itself from bondage by the Imperial powers and must continue to be the hope and protectors of the people of Palestine.

Palestine must be free and reunited for the people of ALL sects so that the native people of the region can live together in harmony once again…and that means a united rule that includes a peaceful coexistence between all sects and beliefs, be they Muslim, Christian or Jew. The enemies of peace are the ones pushing for sectarian division and sectarian dominated rule. They are easy to spot.

In the quest for independence, the Egyptian people must seek out unity amongst all sects with moral foundations help each other rebuild communities and rebuild the Egypt you envision.

The hope of the World rests on the actions that will be taken by the Egyptian people in the coming weeks. Don’t let the Imperial powers divide or stop you in your quest for freedom and unity of all Egypt and all Egyptian people.

In vision, empathy and respect, I pray for you.

A Real Solution for Egypt’s Crisis

By: Stewart Brennan
World United News

After 2 years of political gridlock and outside meddling, the 2011 revolution that united the Egyptian people against a dictator (Hosni Mubarak) has reached a crossroads.

The June 30th 2013 uprising against Egypt’s President elect Morsi, organized or not, brought out millions of Egyptians into the streets to protest what they saw as a betrayal of the peoples trust economically, politically, and morally.

The Military, right or wrong, removed Morsi from power in a popular coup but has seemingly over stepped their bounds by imposing censorship on the Muslim Brotherhood and by not allowing a political solution to manifest through dialog.

Egypt’s future rests on a knifes edge as there has been no calls for reconciliation or extended hands of peace to work together for the sake of Egypt, and by all appearances it has been designed that way. Continuing down the current path will see Egypt descend into chaos and endless bloodshed much to the delight of those that pull the economic and political strings from the outside...unless a real solution is offered for the benefit of all Egyptians.

The Real Problem & A Real Solution

Economic Improvement is the point that all Egyptians can agree on and this solution resides within the Egyptian peoples hands. Prosperity for all Egyptians will unite all factions that are divided regardless of what irrational argument against morality and common sense is presented.

By Nationalizing the Banks and creating a debt free budget where Egypts own National Bank issues money to the government debt free, instead of borrowing money from outside institutions that charge compound interest, the road to the future will straighten right away. Once Egypt creates their own wealth with their own currency, there will be no new National debt because the money created will be spent into existence and not loaned into existence by Private Banks or International Banks such as the IMF or World Bank.

The problem is that Private Institutions are linked to Imperial nations who have designs on controlling Egypt. If Egypt Nationalizes the Private Banks and defaults on the IMF then Egypt will have kicked out the parasites from their economy. Egypt will NOT need Foreign Aid since money created by the National Bank of Egypt comes debt free.

The Nations budget will belong to Egyptians who will be able to set their own priorities with fair taxation without outside interference. Work projects and farming programs can be created from real government budgets to fulfill the needs of the nation.

Egypt will also need to “Nationalize their Resources” so that the profits made will go directly into the governing system that benefits the people, while directly building their future. Right now all the profits of Egyptian resources go into private pockets instead of building Egyptian society. There is no reason for Egypt to be in Poverty.

However, to bring about any kind of change to Egypt, the“People” and their leaders must sit down to iron out a new “Political and Social Constitution” to lead them down the path to unity. That new path begins with getting rid of the current electoral set-up so that outside interests and / or inside interests with deep pockets cannot hijack the political process. Cap the campaign donations to a minimum, disallow corporate funding of the political process, and do not allow outside interference of any sort in the political process.

Egypt needs to adopt a different runoff system and just have a straight election. Many people were isolated in the last election because their candidate was not included in the final runoff. Only 2 candidates contested in the end…this scenario will not work & must be changed to include the top 3 or 4 candidates. Those in control of Egypt right now must also allow all political parties interested in peaceful solutions for all Egyptians to take part in the elections. All violence must stop and their political leaders must not only speak out against violence but must also take action in this direction.

The Egyptian Military must also stop dealing with outside nations. You are Egyptians not proxies for foreign interests. All Military Aid must be rejected so that corruption and suspician of corruption will end. Create your own armaments if necessary and seek military ties that are beneficial to the Egyptian people and not the benefit of foreign Imperial nations.

There are many parasitic players outside Egypt’s borders that will stop at nothing to further their control of Egypt for their own gains, and you know who they are. (The USA, UK, France, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, etc…) Division within Egypt is what these players want at all costs because it drives a wedge between the peoples revolution and creates the ground for civil war while maintaining their economic, political, and corporate controls.

The Suez Canal is of strategic importance and as such the current Saudi and US sponsored upheaval is to maintain their control over it…the Egypian people must unite or the forces of Imperialism, Zionism, and Saudi terrorism will engulf Egypt…

If you want to find out who is against Egypt internally, put these idea’s of change on the table and see who rejects it…then you will know where the Insurrection is and who is behind it.

The only thing that can stop the Imperial powers and despotic kingdoms from destroying Egypt is a united people within Egypt. Cool heads must prevail here…let us see who steps up to offer an extended hand for the sake of Egypt…The status quo of Imperial domination over Egypt must be removed for Egyptians to live their lives in freedom.

I believe that the people of Egypt can save their country from falling into endless war and terrorism if they take a serious look and apply this solution…Peace be to all Egyptians.

Egypt must now throw off Zionist yoke: Analyst

A political analyst says Egypt must rid itself of the domination of the Zionist regime of Israel, which has been plaguing the Middle East, or it will face secession and be lost, Press TV reports.

In an article published on Press TV website on Thursday, co-founder of the Global Justice Movement, Rodney Shakespeare, said Egyptians are well aware that their overthrow of the Western-backed dictator Hosni Mubarak did not result in a genuine revolution as it failed to end Western and Zionist control, which continued under Mohamed Morsi in a different form.

“Egypt must express the will of millions in the Middle East or it will continue to be controlled and crushed. It must throw off the Zionist yoke or it will be forever unable to resist the expansion of the Zionist entity into the lands of others,” Shakespeare wrote in his article.

He further warned Egypt against the sectarian plots by Israel, the US, and their regional allies in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Shakespeare also cautioned that Egyptians’ failure in moving forward in a democratic course will put them under permanent control of "Western finance capitalism."

The expert called on the Egyptian nation to build a democratic future for their country and limit the role of the military so that their 2011 revolution that toppled Mubarak would not go to waste.

Shakespeare questioned the army’s motives in overthrowing Morsi and warned against the “illusion that the Egyptian Army has suddenly become a genuine force for democracy and anti-Zionism,” stressing that the Egyptian armed forces receive a large sum of money from the United States and remain in control of about one quarter of the country’s economy.

He further called on Egypt to establish new economic and political alliances with the Non-aligned Movement nations instead of the US and its allies, fully open the Rafah border crossing into the Israeli-blockaded Gaza Strip, and clearly reject support for the foreign-backed militants and Takfiri extremists in Syria.

The economics professor also insisted that Egypt must make a landmark decision and establish a genuinely independent national bank in an open rejection of the International Monetary Fund, which he said was to blame for putting Egypt into permanent debt and pushing the country deeper into poverty.

Shakespeare finally called on Egyptian politicians to avoid narrow party politics that is concerned with the economic interests of only one section of the society.

"It [Egypt] must proclaim that everybody’s economic interest, although it may take time, will be promoted,” he said

President Mohamed Morsi was stripped of his power and detained by the Egyptian army as the constitution has been suspended. Those gathered on Cairo’s Tahrir Square welcomed the news with cheers, although post-coup Egypt remains highly unstable.

Morsi has reportedly been detained, separated from other officials and taken to a Ministry of Defense facility, according to the Muslim Brotherhood. Arrest warrants have been issued for some 300 members of the Islamist movement. The head of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, Saad El-Katatni, as well as Muslim Brotherhood’s deputy chief, Khairet el Shater, were arrested.

"The address of the president yesterday did not meet the demands of the masses of the people," General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said in a statement, adding the military held talks with various groups throughout Wednesday to work out a roadmap "putting an end to the state of division."

Millions across Egypt erupted into celebrations after the announcement by the military was made, with crowds chanting pro-army slogans and setting off fireworks.

“The mood remains one of jubilance. All of this however against a backdrop of a deeply divided and dangerous Egypt,” RT’s Paula Slier reported from Tahrir Square early on Thursday morning.

Morsi had earlier stated that he does not recognize the "military coup" and called on Egyptians to stand against it.

Supporters of the ousted President clashed with the anti-government activists overnight with the death toll amounting to 32 people.

“We are being told that the army is making its way to a pro-Morsi demonstration outside Cairo University. It is trying to isolate pro-Morsi demonstrators,” Slier reported from Cairo, saying the situation their remains fluid.

Meanwhile, an Egyptian security official in the border area with Israel, speaking on condition of anonymity, has confirmed that about 50 tanks were deployed in the area overnight.

The military have taken Al-Jazeera’s Egyptian broadcast off air. Its offices in Cairo were reportedly raided and at least five members of staff arrested. All media outlets associated with the Muslim Brotherhood have gone black.

In his first decision following Morsi's ouster, Egyptian Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim moved to close all “religious channels,” which include the Salafi oriented Al-Nas and Al-Hafez channels, reports the Egypt Independent. However, it came to light early Thursday morning that all detained heads of religious TV channels had been released from custody.

It was further announced that Egypt's chief justice of the constitutional court, Judge Adly Mansour, is set to become the interim president

"The military's roadmap consists of dissolving the constitution and holding early presidential elections," Sisi stated. He called for a panel would review the constitution and a national reconciliation committee which would include youth movements. He said the roadmap had been approved by a range of political groups.

The time frame of the presidential and parliamentary elections will be determined by an interim administration, the spokesman told Reuters.

Egyptian opposition leader Mohamed El-Baradei said the Arab Spring revolution has been relaunched as a result of the army-sponsored roadmap.

He added that the roadmap met demands for early presidential elections as called for by the liberal coalition. Egypt’s second largest Islamist group, the Nour Party, has also agreed to the army’s roadmap.

Egypt's Pope Tawadros, head of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Egypt, says the roadmap ensures security for all Egyptians and offers a political vision, local media reported.

World leaders urge non-violence and return to democracy

US President Barack Obama on Wednesday called for Egypt’s military to “move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government.” Obama also outlined in his statement the expectation that the military would “ensure that the rights of all Egyptian men and women are protected, including the right to peaceful assembly, due process, and free and fair trials.”

Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), the chairman of the budget committee for the State Department and foreign assistance, slammed the ouster of Morsi in a statement, warning Egypt that US aid to the country may subsequently be cut off. The US currently provides Egypt with some $1.5 billion in annual financial assistance, most of which is in the form of military aid.

Egypt’s military leaders say they have no intent or desire to govern, and I hope they make good on their promise. In the meantime, our law is clear: US aid is cut off when a democratically elected government is deposed by military coup or decree.”

Senator Leahy has authored the most recent stipulations on US military aid to Egypt, which were enacted last year. Though, as Leahy’s own website notes, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and her incumbent John Kerry had previously “used their authority to waive the Leahy conditions.”

By contrast, President Obama’s statements on the Egyptian military’s actions also mentioned aid, but were more general in nature. The president said his administration was "concerned," and that there would be a review of aid given to the country.

The US ordered a mandatory evacuation of its embassy on Wednesday, and announced a travel advisory for all citizens.

The European Union has urged Egypt to return to civilian rule and the restrain from the use of force.

I urge all sides to rapidly return to the democratic process, including the holding of free and fair presidential and parliamentary elections and the approval of a constitution,” EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said in a statement. “I strongly condemn all violent acts, offer my condolences to the families of the victims, and urge the security forces to do everything in their power to protect the lives and well-being of Egyptian citizens,” she added
.

UN chief Ban Ki-Moon urged non-violence in Egypt and called on the people to stay calm and show restraint, also urging dialogue between the country's political factions.

Gulf nations welcomed the ouster of Morsi. Saudi Arabian King Abdullah sent a message of congratulations to the head of the Egyptian Constitutional Court, Adli Mansour, who had been appointed as interim head of state.

"In my own name and on behalf of the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I congratulate you on assuming the leadership of Egypt at this critical point of its history," the message cited by SPA state news agency reads.

The United Arab Emirates have expressed their satisfaction with the developments in Egypt, according to the WAM state news agency which cited the country’s Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahayan as saying that “the great Egyptian army was able to prove again that they are the fence of Egypt and that they are the protector and strong shield that guarantee Egypt will remain a state of institutions and law."
