Promotional giveaway items THROUGHOUT the United States that include information about how to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,

A special trailer that highlights this portion of the story for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to share with its Constituents.

The cancer that killed Tom's son is now 90% curable, and the efforts of many people to raise money and awareness has went a long way to change Leukemia and Lymphomas from death sentences to surmountable and medically treatable diseases.

I was just talking to a mom while in line at D23, her oldest daughter at 24 yrs old was hit with Leukemia in her senior year at Texas A&M but has been going through chemo for 6 months and her doctors think she's going to be fine, and she was able to come with her family to Disney D23 Expo.

So spread the word, and donate if you can, the next life saved could be your in your family. Cancers are so common and widespread now that everyone I know has lost one or more family members, or friends, to some cancer. In my family, 2. Friends, 2.

31 years ago someone wasted a lot of money on buying this Ferrari. Why wasted? They paid about $100 per mile driven, only drove it 1500 miles, Stupid purchase, huge depreciation, cool car

now they are raffling it off, and the new owner? Will need to replace all the rubber parts, fuel system, and brakes, and rebuild the engine to scrape out the oil that's been congealing for 30 years.

1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi is being offered by theInternational Motor Racing ResearchCenter as its 2013 raffle car. Donated by Greg Galdi, the car has been driven fewer than 1,500 miles. The raffle is the Center’s major fund-raiser of the year in support of its work of preserving the history of motorsports. Raffle tickets are $60 for one or two for $100. Only 2,308 tickets will be sold. (they want $23,000 dollars for the car)

2004 Maserati GT donated to fundraiser for local PBS station

KPBS revved up its “Donate Your Car” campaign this month (June 2013) which, along with drivable used cars, often attracts tired, tread-worn mechanical castaways with more miles than a Platinum Frequent Flyer.

This week was different, however. A caller said on Monday he wanted to donate his beloved Maserati.

Well, sure … So, in rolled a sleek, immaculately maintained Maserati loaded with driver-pampering goodies — and legitimate ownership documents.

The black 2004 GT coupe with tan leather interior had a manufacturers list price of about $81,000. About 80,000 miles later, it should fetch between $25,000 and $35,000 at auction, predicts James Rowten, corporate development manager for KPBS in charge of its vehicle donation program.

“This is the most standout car donated in my tenure, and I’ve been here five years,” he said.

While many of the autos end up being sold for scrap metal, and drivable cars head to used-car auctions, this one will go to an international auction of high-end vehicles, Rowten said. The owner’s name remains confidential, although Rowten said he is a longtime donor and fan of KPBS from La Jolla.
