Briggs Cunningham, the only American to win auto championships, and the Americas Cup (for yachting)

FYI the Blackhawk Museum (San Francisco area) might be having a Briggs Cunningham exhibit http://www.blackhawkmuseum.org/ according to the newsletter linked above, but their website has nothing about it, so I checked the Briggs Cunningham website and they included a bit from the Blackhawk Museum newsletter http://www.briggscunningham.com/blackhawk-automotive-museum-tribute/ where it says in late July there will be an exhibit.

 On Labor Day weekend at Lime Rock will be a gathering of Cunningham cars
