Halt! Who Goes There? The Moment Retired Military Dog Met A Kitten For The First Time -- Daily Mail

Chef the retired military dog met a kitten for the first time and the Internet almost melted down with the cuteness of it all.

The adorable meeting was captured by his owner Louise Vaughan and uploaded onto YouTube last month and so far has garnered almost 600,000 views.

Responding to the interloper in the house as if the kitten is there to be investigated, Chef seems perplexed at first by the white, fluffy cat, but then proceeds to poke and prod until the two seem to form a friendship of sorts.

A German Shepherd named Blade and a Belgian Shepherd Brus were part of the unit guarding 31-year-old Wills at RAF Valley

Two military dogs brought in to protect Prince William at his RAF base were put down days after he left.

A German Shepherd named Blade and Belgian Shepherd Brus were part of the unit guarding Wills, 31, at RAF Valley, Anglesey.

But after he ended a three-year deployment as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot last week both dogs were destroyed.

A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: “They were not there to protect William, they were there as a package of increased security for the base while he was there.

"It is true that the two dogs have been put down. It’s no connection to him no longer being at RAF Valley. It’s entirely coincidental.

My Comment: Apparently this has been standard British military policy for a very long time.
